Sudden sharp hip pain while running? - hip pain from running

Sudden sharp pain in the hip while running?
3 miles in my run 6 miles, I developed a pain in the left hip. I was forced to no longer run due to pain and lameness of 3 miles home. The pain is unbearable when walking or running. I have now been 2 days. I can not alone in my left leg, because to endure the pain. Has anyone any idea what could be? I am 29 years old, often in good shape.
